Home PageIn the event of the school closing due to adverse weather conditions, we will text parents to let them know, as well as posting information on the school website.
A decision to close the school is only taken after very careful consideration, and a number of factors will influence this.
We need to ensure the site itself is safe for children and consider whether we can provide sufficient staffing levels to enable adequate supervision of the children. A number of our staff live many miles from the school and we need to consider the safety of staff in travelling to school in relation to the roads around Semley and those further afield.
We will also keep a close eye on the weather forecast and in exceptional circumstances it may be necessary to close the school if the weather is expected to deteriorate. In making such a decision, we would take into account the potential need for parents to collect their children from school and then for staff to be able to get home safely afterwards.
