Friends of Semley School (FOSS):

The parents and teachers association at Semley School is a registered charity known as FOSS.

Parents whose children attend the school are automatically members of FOSS. There are no subscriptions. The Annual General Meeting is held in the autumn term when a committee is elected.

Throughout the year FOSS organises events to raise money to support school life. Our aim is to advance the education of the children by helping to provide and assist in the provision of facilities for education not normally provided by the Local Education Authority.

In addition, there are social occasions to give friends and families a chance to get together.

Just Giving To Semley School

A gift aid donation scheme provides a regular and simple way of raising funds for the school. This allows the school to plan ahead and benefit the pupils with extra money to be used where it is most needed.

In the past year FOSS has been able to provide several new interactive white boards, additional school books, and a donation to the new class room amongst other necessities.

The school is currently looking at ways to improve the outdoor play area and sports facilities. Both these requirements are areas where FOSS could help over the coming months, but no doubt there will be others too.
